Specific and unique perennial poppy for those who like to experiment with flowering plants.

These bushes were grown in partial shade of a nut, they have green leaves with a blue shade. The bushes also were not irrigated, there was almost no rain and the earth like a stone. Perhaps next year they will be more lush, it is also possible that there will be several waves of flowering per season, this is typical for interspecific hybrids of poppies F1.

Without watering and care flowers feel good, the petals do not fall on the first day, and it is likely that the next year will be a few waves of flowering. Poppies with long-term retention of petals look worse than usual because the petals often dry out, for Papaver preferred multiple flowering, then the flowers are always juicy.

This flower was sown in the spring of 2019, the seeds were sown in the open field, watering was almost absent even in arid times, the leaves were burned by the sun and drought but continue to function, the earth is like a stone. Sow hybrid can be both autumn and spring, it tolerates winter and blooms in the first year. Shrubs are compact, in the first year of flowering is not abundant, one or more flowers, but it is likely that in the future flowering will be more lush. Not all bushes bloom, there are some variations of the form. Seed germination is 50%, there is a small admixture of papaver setigerum seeds. But the shrubs growing quickly and effortlessly, Papaver Orientale is growing much more slowly and requires care. Bushes do not look lush, it compact and suitable for lovers of rare plants. In this hybrid you can feel the genetics of wildflowers papaver setigerum, they seem to be from the meadows, although they have a relatively large seed box. 08.07.2019

Announcement
Seeds of the remote interspecific hybrid F1 Papaver orientale L and Ppaver Setigerum.

Seeds of a distant interspecific hybrid of Papaver orientale L and Ppaver setigerum, 110 pieces. Interspecific F1 hybrid (first generation) has a number of visible advantages, combines the beauty of perennial Oriental poppy and the rapid growth of the annual Troy poppy (Sethigerum), the strength of heterosis (hybrid strength) contributes to the rapid growth and lush foliage of the bush. Poppy Troy as well as Oriental poppy is not prohibited by law, their hybrid for several months takes the form of a two-year-old Oriental poppy bush, ready to bloom.

Such hybrids bloom several times a year and are perennial, in countries with a warm climate, they bloom up to four times a year. The power of heterosis is inherent in first-generation hybrids and is particularly pronounced in distant, interspecific hybrids. Such an approach to obtaining seeds is laborious, but it has advantages over obtaining varieties in the form of powerful heterosis and multiple blooms.

The varieties of poppies with a long holding of flowers have a significant drawback, the poppy petals are extremely delicate and look fresh only in the first days after the opening of the bud. If you want to admire poppy flowers in the year of sowing, abundant flowering, several seasons a year, the F1 hybrid is obviously the only offer on the market that can qualify for such indicators.

The hybrid is experimental and was first created by us in the 2018th year. Previously, such hybrids were created on the basis of opium poppy. Troy's poppy - rare, legal and giving compact, numerous flowers, its hybrid legal for both parents. Hybrid leaves have a fleecy cover, they are similar in texture to oriental poppy leaves, the bush is lush, resembles a two-year bush of oriental poppies.

Shrubs tolerate transplantation, unlike their parents, but do not grow in small pots, resting their roots on the bottom, the flower stops growing. In this connection, the flowering photo report is postponed until spring-summer.

For the first time, a hybrid between Papaver Oriental and Papaver somniferum was obtained by Luther Burbank, was an American botanist, horticulturist and pioneer in agricultural science. More about this and some of his other works:

Our hybrid has a small variation, but mostly it is of the same type, similar to the eastern poppy of the second year of cultivation, fast-growing, rather lush. Seed germination of about 50%, which is the norm for a distant hybrid, keep this in mind if you need to get a lot of plants. Such hybrids reproduce shoots.

If you want to get seeds now, then:

A package of seeds (about 110 pieces) costs $ 2. Shipping Cost: ground letter $ 2, air mail $ 4 and $ 7 parcel small package. Respectively: $ 4 or $ 6 or $ 9. Waiting time for regular letters from 5 to 20 days.

1. In order to make a order, you need to transfer the corresponding amount to this account: mastercard 5168 7573 8420 2463 Zaitsev Iaroslav (location Ukraine, in case of high interest, the place of cultivation will change to a more suitable southern Europe).

2. And send to this email address: seedshybridpapaver@gmail.com details, a screenshot of the money transfer. And also specify the number of packages and the type of delivery, in case you need more than one package.

This hybrid will probably give sterile seeds, but if you want to get an F2 hybrid, you can do it yourself by resorting to the techniques described in the literature. Second-generation hybrids can vary greatly and be the starting material for different varieties or individual exclusive specimens. The variability of remote poppy hybrids is incredibly large and can be a good tool for obtaining new forms.

P.S. The seeds were sown in the open ground in spring and bloomed the same year, practically not being watered, even in dry time.
